That&#8217;s what a birthday girl and her little brother and their armadillo pal do, using the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.poetrydances.com\/nonet.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">nonet form<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What does that look like? She answers readers in the very first poem, &#8220;Nonet&#8221;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Grand<br>poem<br>with nine lines &#8211;<br>one syllable<br>first line builds toward<br>nine-syllable ninth line<br>(or the reverse). A staircase<br>for poets and readers alike!<br>(Any subject, rhyming optional.)<br>-page 1<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Did you count the syllables as you read down the nonet-staircase?
